Whenever we roll back up our drive way after one of our big road trips we do a "thank you" for having been able to partake in the adventure and arrive home safely. And of course, this trip has many thanks to share with those we visited with.

Firstly, thank you Conal for being the glue that seems to hold the Mt. A crew together. We've noted that you have kept the lines of communication alive and well with gentle nudging from your Christmas greetings to remind us to touch base and it seems we now will be relying on you to set up an option for the next big Mt. A reunion. Name the date and place friend! By the way, we've sampled that fancy "Back Eddy's" you brought and have blessed the Saturday morning "hash browns" with a few solid shakes over the top. Very good!

And of course, many thanks to our hosts Than, Stephenie, Elias and Amelia. We hope our trip to your home was half as wonderful for you as it was for us. Thank you particularly for letting us feel so at home. We hope we didn't leave things in too much disarry!

  • Amelia and Elias: Thank you for making our Canadian Thanksgiving / Columbus Day weekend a great opportunity to build the next generation of friendship. Minecraft, soccer, chicken chase, yoyos - a great time with great people.
  • Stephenie: Pie pie pie pie - "...that's a pie making name." Let's be honest Stephenie, thank goodness you know how to spoil your guests! You also give us lots of lessons to take home. We truly appreciate the work you did to make us feel like dignitaries. Thank you - but be careful to remember ol' Run Lumsden's expression: "Don't feed them, they'll be back!"
  • Than: Interesting... after this many years we both find ourselves working with and focused on middle school aged students. Thanks for rolling with the chaos of the visit and be sure to check in the next time you folks move the brood through these parts.
