This trip was made even better by special friends we saw / made along the way.

  • As always, many thanks to brother Eric for haunting the house while we were away, making sure the fish didn't starve and piling the bills up on the kitchen table. Eric was also my emergency contact for any travel difficulties (i.e. passports / itinerary / etc). Enjoy the fancy rum!!!
  • Here's to the series of people and events which came together like a line of dominoes to enable us to visit Canadian Idol while in Toronto. When those that were working there said something to us, they did their utmost to follow through.
  • Thanks so much to Blanca, our comforting morning waitress during part of our stay in Toronto. She was just so friendly and helpful with the kids, as well as the adults. I'd be willing to guess she is an institution at her workplace.
  • On the last leg of the journey we stayed with our friends "The Porters" in Appleton, Maine. We had vacationed with this family previously and I found our children hit it off "swimmingly". Once again the Porters opened their home to us, a road weary circus on their last night away. They put us up in the loft and made us all very welcome and comfortable. We had a great tour of ongoing renovations and our children met again to rekindle friendships. Thanks so much for everything.
