Montreal 2010 - Tips

Montreal was easy, especially when there was no driving involved. The groundwork we laid before arriving helped us make the best use of time while visiting. These are some of the items we took into consideration;

  • Double check for those passports... and likewise do an expiry look to confirm validity.
  • We took the i-pod and used it a lot. The notes I've included here were entered at quiet times while we were in the city.
  • Our central location was helpful. Our accommodations were directly above the subway and a quick 15 minute stroll put us anywhere we needed in walking distance. Perfect not to have to think about driving, directions, parking, etc...
  • Local Transit was the key to our vacation... I would recommend the Metro and the 747 to any visitor. Erased the stress of driving completely!!!
  • Check with your card company before leaving so they know the card may be used abroad and drop a limit on expenditures in case it gets stolen.
  • Tips for attractions: I kept my Frommer's Guide close, as its good to have the times, locations and admission for attractions close by.
