We were helped by several during
this vacation...
... as per usual, big thanks
to Uncle Eric for the diligence in looking after the Cloverville
suite while we were thinking about parks, cities and fun. The
peace of mind is always there!!! Thnx...
... Wowsers, to our neighbors
the Hunters that took the snowblower to what must have been a
mountain of snow in our driveway and cleared a path in for us
on our arrival. It was so appreciated. We owe you big time on
that one!!!
... and once again, to our
long lost Connecticut cousins who opened up their home and welcomed
us after 9 days on the road. How can we ever thank Steve, Jenn,
Annie and Meghan enough for making us feel so at ease and "put
us back together" after our lengthy drives? Your hospitality,
as usual, went beyond and we are indebted. The girls were busy
preparing to return to university but took the time to gather
hand-me-downs for Monica, and hang out with us for a few good
laughs. We landed after giving a whopping 24 hour notice - these
are the kind of friends everyone needs! This was probably the
last trip to see you in Fairfield, but we'll remember the great
fun we had in that space and our drop bys AND... we will figure
out where you hang your hats next! Thanks... and thanks again.
... Sonny, Marty, Darin, Trevor
and all the guides and customer service people we met along the
way. Travel is about seeing and doing, but it is the smaller
things that often stand out like the person who makes that call
for you, or gives the kids an extra second for a question or
pat on the back. Gotta say... we were treated first rate y"all!!!
... A most important thank
you in all this to Janie and the kids. Our trips are a real team
effort, and would be impossible to do if we all didn't buy in.
The gang very much rose to the occasion, tolerating my Civil
War interests, but hey- I even went out shopping this time (big
step for me). Fine trip all way 'round.
