Monica used her i-pod to gather notes along the way during our trip to the US and all the National parks.

Day 1: Early start up and moving at 5:30 am we are hoping to be in Boston tonight 12 hour drive though.

Day 2: last night we stayed at the Hampton Inn 6:30 start breakfast was included so we didn't have to stop along the way. In Rochester I lost my 13th tooth. It took us 10h till we got to our (KOA) campground in Sandusky, Ohio. All the campsites are right beside each other to the left of our campsite there were 4 young adults that were up until 3 in the morning didn't bother me cause I have no problem falling asleep with noise around me.

Day 3: 6:30 start this morning (again) . It rained last night so this morning we had to shake our tent dry before we packed it up , the shaking didn't really make a big difference but it got rid of some of the rain. Today we are heading for Des Moines, Iowa. It's an 8h drive but we lose an hour at the border.

Day: 4 We got to the Badlands National Park. We're staying in a Cabin / Motel with air conditioning, a flat screen TV, two double beds clean shower, fridge and a great view of the Badlands mountains.

Day: 5 This morning Mom & Dad went to take pictures of the Badlands mountains and let Peter and I go back to sleep. But when I woke up I went out to sit on the porch when I got cold I stood up and went to open the door, but it was locked and Peter was asleep. I tried knocking but he was out cold. I was outside for 50m until Mom & Dad got back. Then we set off for the mountains. We got out of the car to take pictures and look at fossils. Then we went to Mount Rushmore we got some great pictures. 3h drive until we stopped at Devils Tower we took a 2k hike around the tower and I had fun climbing some of the rocks. Tonight we were going to stay in a Hampton Inn in Sheridan but it was full but conveniently there was a Motel 6 across the street with an indoor pool! Mom went to get groceries while Dad watched Peter and I in the pool. For super we had store bought chicken and wedges.

Day:6 Yellow Stone Park today we saw an active mud volcano and some trails with scenic views/strait plummet to certain death . We went back to our cabin and played crazy-8's & cheat until lights out.

Day:7 This morning went to go see some geysers and at ~12:00 we were on our way to see the Old Faithful geyser. We had perfect timing cause the second we walked in water and steam shot out of the crater and that very second there was a chorus of Cools! Awesome! Wows! and words in different languages that I could not understand. We're staying in Grand Teton National Park in Colter Bay Village sleeping in a tent cabin. It's got two wooden walls and two canvas walls one each wooden wall there is four pull down bunks. There is one light and one wood stove.

Day: 8 Early start 5h drive to Salt Lack City we stopped in Jackson , Wyoming for a breakfast picnic. We're staying at a Hampton Inn it's nice and HUGE! It's got one king size bed and one pullout couch and and a nice long chair perfect size for me.

Day: 9 Today is another driving day we're going to stay in Reno, Nevada. It's supposed to take 8h to get there.

Day: 10 Today were going to San Francisco :) Before we go check in we're going to check out the Exploratorium (Discovery Center) it's in a big fancy building with pillars and fancy gargoyle things. When we got inside there was a little wooden sailboat with wheels on a table with lines on it and big fans I walked over and read the sign the idea was to rotate the sail to catch the wind to move across the line on the table. There was so many interesting things it would take me all day to name all of them. After the Exploratorium we walked back to the parking lot and I saw a little sandwich shop so we ate there then we went down to the beach by the Golden Gate Bridge and Fort Point. Then we went to our hotel. We're staying at Radison on the wharf so we walked down to the wharf and looked around for a bit then we came back to our hotel for the night .

Day: 11 Today were going to Alcatraz then tonight were going to a San Francisco Giants game they're playing San Diego Padres.

Day: 12 Last night I got a baseball at batting practice from one of the San Diego players. We're going to Fort Point for the day. On our way back to our hotel we got ice cream (yum) then I got a San Francisco t-shirt a Peter got a hat.

Day: 13 Were going to stay in Bakersfield tonight. We've driven by a lot of orange trees today and this morning we ate at a Denny's for breakfast.

Day: 14 and 15 we stayed at the GRAND CANYON!! Mom and I made up a fun game with the frisbee. It was a lot of fun. Peter played too after we had a wiener roast.

Day: 16 Albuquerque tonight long driving day again. Another huge Hampton it's got two king sized beds one pull out couch.

Day: 17 Today were in Oklahoma city we went to the Oklahoma city bomb site. Then we went swimming.

Day: 18 We're staying in Missouri, St.Louis. We're going to the Arch. We're planning on going to the top. When we get back to our hotel we get to go swimming again tonight.

Day: 19 Today we're going to Six Flags. First we did all the roller coasters before it gets too hot. Then we went to the water park. Then we hopped in the car and kept going until we got to Memphis, Tennessee. We're staying in a Holiday Inn on Union Av. right across the street is the famous Peabody Hotel.

Day: 20 Today we're going to Graceland and Sun Records. When we got to Graceland we got an audio tour and got to look around the bottom floors cause no gets ever went upstairs so in respect of the Presley family. Not allowed upstairs.

Day: 21 Another driving day. We're heading for Knoxville our hotel we just visited Shiloh and learned about the hornets nest battle.

Day: 22 Last night I lost my second tooth of the trip$$:). We're staying in Richmond there's a great pool.

Day: 23 This morning we went to two civil war museums. Then we drove to Philadelphia and went to go see a Philies Base ball game and I got to put a chalk line one the field:)

Day: 24 We drove to Connecticut to stay at Jenn & Steve's. But before we go to their house we get to "Back to School" SHOPPING :)
When we got to their house we went to the beach.

Day: 25 We woke up and drove to Boston this morning for a Base ball game at the Fenway stadium, Boston vs. Texas.
