Mexico ’17

Hola mis amigos… welcome to our March Break trip to Puerto Morelos! Yep… first time for us in Mexico and we can’t wait. Flights are booked, accommodations reserved, itinerary roughed out and bags packed. Over the next week or so I hope to capture (in words and picture) the sights, sounds and tastes of our vacation along the Caribbean. I’ve been following the Weather Network forecasting for Puerto Morelos… a remarkably stable 26-28°C each day with a 20 km breeze from the east that rolls in off the water.  Sounds pretty darn nice!

Crisp and clear entering New Brunswick

Our departing flight is out of Moncton, so I’m making my first entry from that fine city on Friday night, as we’ve just checked in at Hampton Inn & Suites Moncton with about 300 excited kids (here playing ringette)! Pretty animated upon arrival, but things were quiet behind closed doors. The hope is that getting here tonight helps us arrive Saturday morning at the airport well rested after a light breakfast and primed to take on our departure day with “gusto”! Going into the travel piece in a good head space and healthy is so important… Improves decision making, increases the often much needed level of patience, and has your body ready for the onslaught of sleep, temperature and dietary changes that life away from home brings.

So the plan is to blog a few stories and post our favorite pics daily to share how this works out! Got a couple of things planned in advance, but for the most part we’re going to build as we go. You’re more than welcome to drop a comment (form found at the bottom of each blog page) if you have a suggestion or question as I’m not connected to work devices. I’ll definitely reply back! Many of my friends have visited Mexico so if you have any tips I’m all in for that. Love to write while on the road.
