Athens ’25 – Day 9

Earl’s Court Station

By 5:00 AM we had checked out and were riding the Piccadilly Line to Terminal 2 at Heathrow. We thought the Earl’s Court area a super choice for our stay, with a solid range of nearby amenities (ie. Grocery, Coffee, Convenience, Pubs) and great transportation links via the Earl’s Court Tube Station. Took lines North, East & West of the little hub! 👍

Flight Map – LHR to YHZ

Flight was loaded on time, but in reality left gate about 25 mins late. We were surprised to find ourselves in the first seats of Zone 3… huge leg room for the longer flight home. AC did us a solid in both directions… so that’s pretty fun! Once again, a good meal and loving the ability to text in flight ✈️. Did a little reading, had a hard time napping, so it was a bit of a slog (5:45 hrs in air). That said… small price to pay for an awesome visit abroad!

So long March Break ‘25

Arrival was very close to 12:15 PM… that putting us about a 3/4 hr ahead of schedule. We disembarked fairly quickly and off through CBSA for declaration. We brought nothing back (not even duty free). I had filled out our info on the ArriveCan App so that saved a few clicks before customs. Of course, with no checked bags we breezed through there and were the first folks of the flight to enter arrivals area. Then off to arrange parking payment through the Alt Halifax (discounted with Alt Package) and east to Antigonish.

Over the next few days we’ll gather our thoughts in regard to this run abroad and post on the reflections page. For now it’s getting home and settled for Monday morning! Cheers…

    1. So glad to share the time abroad! It’s all a bit “nerdy”, but I think it works for us 👍. Just looking through and seeing that we’ve built quite an index of places & spaces. Maybe we can think of it as a more involved family album 😂. As always… thanks for your wonderful notes ♥️!
