NFLD ’18 Reflections

Look Off – Gros Morne Mtn

Visiting Newfoundland is somehow like a trip home! The folks are friendly, brutally honest, keen on social events and proud of where they come from. Perhaps a hold over from the geographic isolation felt as an island province. Regardless, it was entirely our pleasure to be back once more.

Bake Apple – Harvey Trail

This time on the rock we found ourselves outside more, and further off the beaten track (if there is such thing here). When Janie wasn’t in class, she was with me. Dead end highways and hiking trails were the norm for my days exploring. I found things so photogenic this trip through. I was very enthused with some of the shots we took… “Felt right professional like”

Corner Brook Gorge Trail

NFLD is absolutely ripe for nature lovers! Whether on water or land, river or trail, via walking, hiking, boat or ATV, there seems something for all type of outdoors person! I remember being very young and having Runny (Grandfather) prepping for salmon fishing on this province’s bountiful rivers. Gotta say I managed to get a better glimpse of this during our August visit. We got out of the car, put feet on the ground, and really got to experience this still very wild and often isolated province!

Until next time Newfoundland, cheers!
