We were a sorry lot getting prepped for this trip! Janie had been at PD for a new PREIB History 10 Course all week and it was the first time I had gotten my sorry butt out of the woods in almost a month! Beyond that… Andrew had handled most of the planning in regards to tix / accommodations. Free loading like you wouldn’t believe this time around. Regardless, we rolled into Stanfield with plane tickets to Montreal in hand and made a smooth departure @ 6:15 PM AST on Air Canada Rouge.

Good flight… A quick cruise for a 6:50 PM ET arrival at Montreal – Trudeau International (YUL). That’s when our fortunes changed, as we stayed on tarmac for about an hour in both plane and bus. Further, just when we got moving and felt as though progress was near, another 1/2 hr delay in of all things a taxi lineup. When we were making our way into the city the cabby related that it was super busy due to summer vacations ending in Quebec! All in, the taxi from YUL to the downtown Delta Montreal cost $50 taking 25 Minutes. Check in at Delta Montreal was smooth, as Andrew had arranged a Friends & Family Coupon Rate which save timed and money! Thanks to his friend at Delta!
Shortly thereafter, we connected with the Grahams and made our way to a supper reservation, at Mythos Restaurant (Greek). Unbeknownst to us, we arrived mid Greek wedding celebration preparations and got our “Nick Adonidas” on! What a time… We ate from a wonderful Greek Menu, imbibed in ouzo and red wine and wiggled to the traditional “mousike” being launched from the stage. Full on… By the time we got home we were all so tired we could barely move. Awesome evening!
