Excel is my travel friend… the host for all the research I do! Every one of my trips has a corresponding spreadsheet file that has a clearly outlined itinerary, budget sheet, confirmation numbers for travel tickets, specific attractions and accommodations. Itineraries include, in a chronological day by day fashion, any costs, hours of operation, plan for commute, links to websites for quick reference and any special notes that should be retained. I take a print copy as well as a PDF on the iPad! I carry it each day and continually refer to the contents.
